On the afternoon of September 4, Yen Bai provincial delegation led by Mr. Ta Van Long, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, held a working session with Nippon Zoki Group.
At the working session, on behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Ta Van Long praised the investment cooperation results of Nippon Zoki Group in Yen Bai. He also expressed gratitude to the Group for choosing Vietnam, including Yen Bai province, for investment to create jobs for local workers.
Currently, Vietnam Nippon Zoki Co., Ltd. is implementing a high-tech rabbit breeding and processing investment project in Yen Bai. The project was initiated in 2015, with a capacity of 25,000 breeding rabbits in the first phase. The total registered investment capital for the project is USD 78.6 million (VND 1.7 trillion).
According to reports from various sectors, the total revenue of the project in 2023 was estimated to reach USD4.94 million; taxes and budget contributions were estimated at VND1.1 billion, creating jobs for 116 local workers. The project's revenue for the first seven months of 2024 is estimated at USD2 million, equivalent to about VND 50 billion; taxes and budget contributions are estimated at VND0.5 billion. The company has created jobs for 114 local workers.
In addition, Vietnam Nippon Zoki Co., Ltd. is proposing to invest in two projects in Yen Bai Province: a livestock feed processing project and a enoki mushroom project.
Yen Bai Province is committed to supporting Vietnam Nippon Zoki Co., Ltd. with the necessary procedures and conditions to implement the project on schedule. The province will also direct relevant agencies, units, and localities to effectively carry out the project as planned.
Currently, Yen Bai Province is attracting businesses to invest in the agricultural sector, which is also a strength of Nippon Group.
In the coming time, Yen Bai Province hopes that Vietnam Nippon Zoki Co., Ltd. will open a representative office in the province and expand the scale of the high-tech rabbit breeding and processing investment project currently underway, as well as soon implement the livestock feed processing project and the enoki mushroom project to create jobs and increase income for local residents.
Mr. Konishi Takafumi, Chairman and CEO of Nippon Zoki Group, expressed his gratitude to the leaders of Yen Bai Province for their support and for creating favorable conditions for the branch of Vietnam Nippon Zoki Co., Ltd. to effectively implement the project in the province.
He also shared information about the areas the Group is interested in investing in Vietnam in the near future, including expanding the livestock feed production sector; researching and developing a high-tech Japanese mushroom cultivation project to serve the Vietnamese market and export to Southeast Asian countries; exploring investment in elderly healthcare using advancements in medicine and technology from Japan; and nutrition and biotechnology in Vietnam.
Mr. Konishi Takafumi also expressed his hope to explore and implement many new projects in the future in areas that the Group has strengths in Yen Bai Province.
