According to the previous plan, by the end of 2020, Yen Bai province plans to develop 12 industrial clusters, including: Au Lau Industrial Complex; Son Thinh Industrial Park; Hung Khanh Industrial Park; CCN Bao Dap; Industrial cluster west of Mau A bridge; Dong An industrial cluster; Thinh Hung Industrial Park; Yen The Industrial Park; Dam Hong Industrial Park; Bac Van Yen Industrial Park; Minh Quan industrial cluster and Bao Hung commune industrial cluster. The total area of industrial park planned is 548.78 hectares.

Tourism programmes in Yên Bái now revolve around the richness of cultural identity, heritage tours to monuments and landscapes, and experiencing the distinctive customs, cuisine and festivals.

On 20 February 2024, Van Yen district opened Dong Cuong Festival.

The 2024 Gau Tao festival took place on Sunday in Tram Tau district in the northern province of Yen Bai, highlighting the cultural identity of Mong ethnic minority.

On the morning of February 16th, at the Exploitation - Transportation Center, Yên Bái Post Office, Văn Phú Commune, Yên Bái City, the Party Committee of the Provincial State Agency and Enterprise Sector and the Provincial Business Association coordinated to organize a launching Ceremony for Production and Business in 2024.

On the afternoon of January 31st, National Assembly Chairman Vương Đình Huệ and the central delegation visited to extend Lunar New Year Giáp Thìn 2024 greetings and presents to policy beneficiary families, veterans, poor households in Báo Đáp, Tân Đồng, Đào Thịnh, Hòa Cuông communes and disadvantaged laborers at the garment factory of Vina KNF International Joint Stock Company in Trấn Yên district.

On January 26, Mr. Đào Ngọc Dung - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, along with a working delegation visited and gifted presents to policy beneficiary families, poor households; workers, children facing difficulties for the Lunar New Year Giáp Thìn 2024 in Yên Bình district, Yên Bái province.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year Giáp Thìn 2024, on January 31st, Mr Ngô Hạnh Phúc - Vice Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee, paid New Year visit to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and agencies and units on duty during Tet in Yen Binh district.

In 2023, the number of tourists coming to Luc Yen district was 110,080 tourists, of which there were 15,500 international tourists. Revenue from tourism activities reached VND 94.4 billion.

On January 12th, Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc - Standing Vice Chairman of Yen Bai PPC worked with the delegation of Yamazaki Co.ltd about investing on expanding the bamboo shoot processing factory for export.
