1. Area A

Decision No.328/QD-UBND dated 16^th March, 2007 of Yen Bai People’s Committee on approval of adjustment of detailed construction planning of the Southern Industrial Zone with total area of 137.8 hectares.

Decision No.45/QD-UBND dated 18^th January, 2010 of Yen Bai People’s Committee on approval of detailed planning of extending the Southern Industrial Zone (Area A) of Yen Bai of Yen Bai province with total extending area of 320 hectares. Total land area A is 457.8 hectaes

2. Area B + C:

Decision No. 330/QD-UBND dated 17^th March, 2010 of Yen Bai people committee on approval of detailed construction planning of the Southern Industrial Zone of Yen Bai province. In which , area B has total land area of 20 hectares, area C has total land area of 55 hectares.

The Southern Industrial Zone was recognized as National Industrial Zone by the Prime Minister in the Decision No. 1107/QD-UBND dated 21^st August, 2006 with total planning area of 100 hectares ans was approved by the Government to be extended forom 100 hectares to 137.8 hectares at the Document No.214/TTg-KTN dated 08^th December, 2008; be extended from 137.8 hectares to 400 hectares for planning in National Industrial Zone at the Document No.26/TTg-KTN dated 07^th October,2010.

1.Location:

The Southern Industrial Zone belongs to Van Tien Ward, Yen Bai city, Yen Bai provijce which is 5.5 kms firn the junction IC12 – Van Phu to Noi Bai – Lao Cai Highway. The North of the Industrial Zone borders the port line from Huong Ly to Van Phu bridge. The South of the Indusrtrial Zone borders the forest planting hill area. The West of the Industrial Zone borders Van Tien ward and civil area

2. Character of the Industrial Zone:

The Southern Industrial Zone is the centralized zone, including the sectors such as: Agriclutural and forestry products manufacturing ans processing; Construction materials ans premium construction manufacturing; Steel industryl Mineral manufacturing; Stone powder manufacturung and processing/

3. Technical infrastructure:

The Industrial Zone with the technical infrastructure meeting requirements of the investors having investment projects in the Industrial Zone is invested with Natioanl Budget, particularly:

Power supply system: 35KV high voltage line is constructed along the arterial roads in the Industrial zone. In the future, Yen Bai Department of Electricity will invest 110/35/22KV subtation and continue to invest 04 overhead transmission lines connected to the 110KV line to supply electrictiy to the entire industrial zone.

Water system: There is  raw supply system from Yen Binh Water Treatment Plant with capacity of 11,500m3 per day and night, which leads to industrial zone by D300 pipeline along the roads of industrial zone.

Traffic system: The traffic routes in the industrial zone were conducted to connect to external traffic, guarantee traffic for investors to invest in industrial zones.

4. Investment attraction

So far, Southern industrial zone has attracted 28 investment projects with total investment registration capital of 5,703 billion, toatal area of lease land of 186,9hectares, the occupancy rate of 57.73%. Currently, there are 17 porjects in production and bussiness activities: 09 projects are in capital construction; 02 projects are being completed investment procedures.

Yen Bai Province is calling for investment projects in industrial zone, such as infrastructure investment project in industrial zone including: ground leveling; investment  in traffic road system, water supply system; centre treatment of wastewater, solid waste; projects in the fields: producing construction materials, processing mineral, processing agricultural and forest products…
