World Vision is a non-governmental organization working through advocacy, development and advocacy programs to improve the quality of life for the community, especially disadvantaged children and adults.  In the period 2017 -  2022, the World Vision International in Vietnam deploys the regional program of Tram Tau, Van Chan, Luc Yen, Yen Binh and Tran Yen from 01/10/2017 to 30/9/2022 with the aim of improving the well-being of children, especially vulnerable children; Van Yen Regional Development Program for the purpose of promoting sustainable child welfare for the families of children and vulnerable children in target communes until 2018 from 01/10/2017 to 30/9/2018; The project of improving disaster resilience and climate change for ethnic minorities in Luc Yen district (EREM) aiming to increase the resilience of ethnic minority communities in Luc Yen district, Yen Bai province on disaster risk and climate change impacts with attention on children and poor women from 01/10/2015 to 31/3/2018; The project of ending child violence (EVAC) aims to provide an environment for vulnerable youth (ages 12 - 24) to be cared for and protected against trafficking, exploitation and other forms of violence through family and community support in the project areas of Van Chan district, Luc Yen from 01/10/2017 to 30/9/2020; Emergency relief in Mu Cang Chai district from October to December 2017.

At the signing ceremony, Ms. Tran Thu Huyen - Chief reprentative of World Vision International in Vietnam thanked Yen Bai province for arranging the signing ceremony. This is also the event marking the cooperation between Yen Bai province and World Vision International in Vietnam in the past 13 years. The two sides have implemented effective projects and programs aimed at achieving the common goal for Yen Bai children to benefit most. She said that this is the first time that the World Vision International has a global strategy that focuses on vulnerable children and protects children from all forms of abuse. force and Accident. Ms. Huyen wished to have the coordinated attention of the province and provincial departments to implement the programs and projects in the province effectively. World Vision will coordinate with Yen Bai province in calling and attracting donor organizations to Yen Bai province.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang - Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee affirmed that the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee and World Vision International in Vietnam marks the next step in the partnership between Yen Bai Province and World Vision International in Vietnam. He thanked the World Vision International in Vietnam for its interest to Yen Bai province. Programs and projects implemented by Word Vision have contributed positively to addressing employment, infrastructure, maternal and child health in the province.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee wished in the coming time, the World Vision will continue to mobilize and develop other programs and projects to contribute to the effectiveness and linkages for the program of  local development and replicate the regional development model in other localities in the province.

Yen Bai province is committed to direct the implementation of the project in accordance with the plan effectively and at the same time entrust the units responsible for receiving and managing the use of aid for the right purpose and effectiveness.
