YBP- Continuing the working programme, on 28th Septemver, the delagation of Val-de-Marn (France) led by Mr. Gilles Saint Gal – the First Deputy President of the Val-de-Marne provincial council worked in Mu Cang Chai district about “Developing tourism and community tourism in Mu Cang Chai district”.
visiting some community - toursim spots in Thai village, Mu Cang Chai town.
In the district, the delagation was informed about the development of tourism in Mu Cang Chai in general, cultural characteristics, potentials and strengths for local community tourism in particular.
Before that, the delegation visited some community tourism spots in Thai village, Mu Cang Chai town, the National terraced fields in La Pan Tan, Che Cu Nha, De Xu Phinh and some scenic spots and potential tourism development area of Mu Cang Chai district.
Mr. Gilles Saint Gal highly appreciated the potentials for developing tourism in Mu Cang Chai district, especially the natural landscape and climate. He also expressed his satisfaction after himself experiencing community tourism there.
Mr. Gilles Saint Gal shared the experience in developing tourism in Mu Cang Chai with the local leaders. He stressed that preserving cultural characteristic and closed with people, protecting enviroment are important criteria which decided the desire to explore and experience of Western tourists.
Mr. Gilles Saint Gal also commented that Mu Cang Chai district is making good progress in developing community tourism. He believed that Mu Cang Chai district will become one of the tourist attractions in the near future.
The delegation of Val-de-Marne province has proposed to attract more French tourists to come to Mu Cang Chai tourist sites. Val de Marne will soon organize French training courses for people who do tourism in this district. The leader of Val-de-Marne province also expressed the desire to act as a bridge between French travel agencies and Mu Cang Chai to improve economic efficiency for local tourism workers.
On this occation, within the framework of the regional cooperation agreement, Val-de-Marne decided to fund 30.000 for Yen Bai to help schools in Mu Cang Chai overcome the sequences of the flood which had happened in August.
