As the date, from 23rd – 29th of September, Yen Bai province organized the Week of Muong Lo Culture and Toursim and Festival of discovering Mu Cang Chai terraced paddy field in order to introduce and promote tangible and intangible cultural values and unique tourism products of the province.
The Paragliding Festival of “Flying on the golden season” attracted many tourists.
The opening activity of the Week of Muong Lo Culture and Toursim and Festival of discovering Mu Cang Chai terraced paddy field is the special art progamme which is organized in Nghia Lo town with the topic “Brigntenning the West region”. The programme is the combination between cultural traditionnal values ò Thai and H’Mong people in the West of Yen Bai province.
The highlight of the programme is the “khen be” performance in which the record of the biggest “khen be” for the Thai people in Viet Nam; The annoucement and certificate ceremony to “Han Khuong Art of Thai people in Nghia Lo, Yen Bai” has been listed as the National intangible cultural heritage, the “dai xoe” dance performance of Thai people presented by artisans, local dancers.
In addition, there are a lot of unique activities, such as: street performance; cuisine street, Nghia Lo cultural trading street; exhibition of Northwest photos and community-based tourism activities in Sa Ren village (Nghia Loi commune) and Deu village (Nghia An commune), Nghia Lo town, etc.
Especially, in the frame of the week, the Paragliding Festival of “Flying on the golden season” was held from 23rd- 24th September with the participation of foreign and domestic parachutists.
Besides, tourist also enjoyed activities of the commnity tourism, visit the terrace paddy fields, adventure tourism in La Pan Tan, Che Cu Nha communes, Hua Khat village, Nam Khat commune (Mu Cang Chai district) and Pang Cang village, Lim Thai village (Van Chan district) or explored Ta Xua Mount, Ta Chi Nhu and Hang Te Cho waterfall in Tram Tau district…
Tourists also visited the exhibition which showed many interesting things like H’mong “khèn”, books and specialties of mountainous area such as: natural honey, dried meat, rice grown on the hills.
Week of Muong Lo Culture and Toursim and Festival of discovering Mu Cang Chai terraced paddy field are an important activity in the series of events to develop tourism in the West region of Yen Bai. It is a great chance to attract investors to carry out joint-venture investment in tourism and services activities.
It is also the opportunity to strengthen the solidarity of ethnics in the region; to enhance the cultural exchange, experience sharing as well as to maintain and promote traditional cultural values combined with tourism development; to attract domestic and foreign tourists into high-quality tourism services including unique features of Yen Bai with the appealing and friendly images.
