Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang and the delegation of Embassy and Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland visited the clean water and sanitation projects in Mu Cang Chai district.

The project on water supplying - drainage and environmental projects had been implemented in Nghia Lo Farm Town, Van Chan district and Mu Cang Chai town  with the total investment of more than 40 billion VND which consists of Vietnamese capital anf Finish ODA capital.

After more than 3 years of using, these projects has supplied clean water for 1.600 households in Nghia Lo Farm Town and Mu Cang Chai town; 70% people in two towns get benefits from wastewater treatment network. The project has been welcomed by the people who proposed to expand the network of services to increase the number of people benefiting from the project.

When visiting these works in Nghia Lo town and Mu Cang Chai town, Mr. Sami Leino highly appropriated Yen Bai's efforts to coordinate and implement clean water projects quickly to the people as well as manage and ensure the technical requirements of the water and sanitation facilities.

Mr. Sino Leino also informed the leaders of Yen Bai province on investment cooperation between Vietnam and Finland, including some areas of cooperation such as humanitarian assistance, development rural area and forest, clean water supplement and aquaculture, environmental protection ...Mr. Sami Leino expected that after Yen Bai province will continue to maintain the works to promote effect.

On behalf of Yen Bai leaders, Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang thanked Finnish government for helping Yen Bai build clean water and environmental sanitation projects which have brought practical benefits to people in Van Chan and Mu Cang Chai district Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang expressed his hope that the Finnish Government would continue to have a program of cooperation and aid to help Yen Bai province implement projects as well as promote investment cooperation to promote socio-economic development of Yen Bai.
