The overview of working session.

Mr. Do Duc Duy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation.

Atttending the working session also were Mr. Trieu Tien Thinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Hoang Thi Thanh Binh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the Party committees, leaders of a number of related departments and agencies.

Recent years, Yen Bai province has promoted the of policies, guidelines, policies and external activities of the Party and the State and the foreign affairs of the province. In 2018, the province had 34 delegations with more than 300 officials, civil servants and employees to work, explore the market, trade promotion in India, France, Singapore, Malaysia and Cambodia, Korea, China, Japan ect …in order to introduce potentials, strengths and preferential policies of Yen Bai province, call for investment in the province in the fields of industry, agriculture and services.

The province received and allowed 94 international delegations with 397 turns of delegation to visit, work, inspect projects, promote trade and investment…Receiving,working, coordinating and managing foreign delegations during their stay in the locality ensures safety and compliance with the law.

Up to now, Yen Bai province has cooperated with more than 100 international organizations, embassies of foreign countries, foreign non-governmental organizations, enterprises and foreign investors...; Yen Bai province also has strengthened cooperation with the localities of France, Vientiane and Xay-Nha-Bu-Ly provinces (Lao PDR) and Yunnan province (China) ... through these partnerships to promote trade, investment, tourism and service development of the province

At the working session, leaders of European, Middle Eastern - African departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs introduced Yen Bai province with potentials, advantages and difficulties in attracting investment from these areas.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the initiative and positive of Yen Bai province in international economic integration, promotion connection with countries and territories; promote cooperation with countries/territories with traditional relations with Vietnam in recent years.

Vice Minister requested Yen Bai province to closely coordinate with the departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to closely manage the delegations; implemente investment promotion activities in 2019; actively implement cooperation activities with Yunnan province (China); promote the establishment of friendly cooperative relations with a number of foreign countries in order to bring cooperation activities into reality and efficiency in the coming time; strengthen external economic activities, attract investment and cooperation with foreign partners to contribute to attracting external resources for socio-economic development of the locality direction; The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also ready to help Yen Bai province train cadres on diplomatic affairs ....

On behalf of Yen Bai province, Mr. Do Duc Duy - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked the attention and support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs leaders for Yen Bai province in developing relations and cooperation with provinces and countries. Mr. Duy hoped that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will pay more attention to the development of the relations of Yen Bai province to the countries/territories in the region. Yen Bai province takes priority over relationships with a number of countries has many similarities with Vietnam in general and Yen Bai province in particular such as Japan and South Korea.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also hoped that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would regularly coordinate to provide information on the capacity of FDI enterprises and investors from regional and international countries wanting to invest in Yen Bai province.
