YBP - In the morning of May 25, Mu Cang Chai district held the opening ceremony of the Paragliding Festival "Flying over the water season" in 2019 in Cao Pha commune. This is the 7th year Mu Cang Chai district has organized paragliding activities and is the third time to organize the festival "Flying on the water season" at Khau Pha Pass. Attending the opening ceremony was Mr. Duong Van Tien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Tourists and pilots participate in paragliding activities
The festival "Flying on the water season" in 2019 has two contents: Performing paragliding and organizing double flight between pilots and tourists. This event was hosted by more than 50 domestic and foreign pilots from Yen Bai Paragliding Club Vietwings in collaboration with paragliding clubs to create opportunities for visitors to experience and enjoy the majestic beauty of Khau Pha valley with sparkling and immense terraced fields in the water season.
May is the time when Mu Cang Chai terraced fields in the water season pouring into a mirror reflecting the colors of the heavenly and majestic mountains of the Tay Bac, creating a charming beauty inviting travelers. This is also one of the two most beautiful times of the year for visitors to see the whole picture of the majestic and unique beauty of Mu Cang Chai along with the ripe season of rice in September. The flight point at Lim Mong village in Cao Pha commune , Mu Cang Chai district is located right next to Khau Pha Pass - one of the four great peaks of Vietnam. It is located at an altitude of nearly 1,300 meters above the sea level. This is one of the most beautiful destinations in Vietnam as well as in the world with majestic natural landscapes that have been invested in many construction items such as taking off and landing points, parking areas, points for tourists to admire ...
From a viewpoint on Khau Pha Pass, tourists can observe the whole scene of Mu Cang Chai terraced fields in the water season.
Parallel to the Paragliding Festival, Mu Cang Chai district also organizes the display of booths to introduce books under the theme of National Landscape Terraced fields and islands and sea of Vietnam; Presentation about homeland, people, cultural identities of ethnic groups of Mu Cang Chai, Mu Cang Chai terraced fields and the contents of Vietnamese sea and islands. Along with that there are 5 booths to introduce and sell local products such as: Khèn Mong, honey, La Pan Tan rice wine ... attracting a lot of tourists to visit.
Besides organizing activities to attract tourists, the issue of ensuring safety for the Paragliding Festival “Flying on the water season” is the first priority of the district. Accordingly, the District People's Committee has prepared an official dispatch requesting related units to coordinate in the organization; arrange ambulance and emergency medical team at the pass; rescue when flying incidents occur, promptly solve arising problems ...
Ms. Luong Thi Xuyen - Vice Chairman of Mu Cang Chai District People's Committee said: Mu Cang Chai District will bring the Paragliding Festival "Flying over the water season" to become a private brand of the district to continue to promote its potential and strengths, landscapes, , cultural and unique features of the highland district of Yen Bai; raise awareness of conservation, promote historical values associated with tourism development. Thereby, continuing to strengthen the great solidarity of ethnic groups to strengthen cultural exchanges, exchange of experiences, preserving traditional cultural values associated with tourism development, creating focal points to attract tourists and investors promote sustainable tourism development activities for disadvantaged highland districts of Yen Bai province.
