On June 1st, the delegation of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam led by Mr. Parvathaneni Harish - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India attended the Program "Jairpur Foot Camp 2019 " in Yen Bai province.
The “Jairpur Foot Camp” for disabled people has been implemented in Vietnam by the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador in Ha Noi and the Indian Embassy in Hanoi as part of the “Indian Initiatives for humanitarian purposes”. The program has demonstrated India’s commitment to development cooperation parnerships with Vietnam, as well as symbolizing for strong friendship between Vietnam and India.
In 2019, Yen Bai province is one of two provinces attended the program which fits artificial limb for 250 disabled people in order to help them overcome difficulties and regain confidence in life.
Mr. Duong Van Tien – Vice Chairman of Yen Bai PPC thanked to the Indian Embassy and Indian partners for paying attended to the people of Yen Bai province. Through the implementation of activities within the framework of the program, it will contribute to enhancing understanding and further promoting the good friendship between the people of the two countries in Vietnam in general and between Yen Bai and the India Embassy in Vietnam in particular. The leader of Yen Bai province also committed to implementing the program ontime and inprocess.
Vietnam's first "Jairpur Foot Camp" program was held in Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho from July 2018. In 2019, this program continues to support fitting artificial limbs for 500 disabled people in Quang Ninh and Yen Bai.
