YBP - In the morning of February 10, Yen Bai City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee solemnly celebrated the 90th anniversary of the Yen Bai Uprising (10/2/1930 - 10/2/2020).

The speech was presented by Mr.Ngo Hanh Phuc - Secretary of Yen Bai City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council at the ceremony, stating: On the night of 9th, early February 10, 1930 an armed uprising broke out in Yen Bai organized and led by the Nationalist Party of Vietnam, to overthrow the French colonial government to build an independent Vietnam under the republic, opening a series of anti-French riots in localities in the North of our country; the uprising was initiated and led by a patriot, Nguyen Thai Hoc.
Starting with the motto "Khong thanh cong cung thanh nhan", due to many reasons, the uprising failed, patriotic patriots of the Nationalist Party of Vietnam were wanted and executed. Nguyen Thai Hoc and his colleagues were captured and executed by French enemies on May 8 and June 17, 1930; 17 martyrs in the Yen Bai uprising had sacrificed heroically.
Despite the failure, the brave, indomitable sacrifices of the martyrs during the Yen Bai uprising became a noble symbol of revolutionary heroism, adding more glorious history to fighting foreign enemies invasion of our nation and the pride of the people of all ethnic groups in Yen Bai province.
Yen Bai uprising has left valuable lessons in many aspects, many scientific works, literary and artistic works praised and depicted images of patriotic scholars in Yen Bai with the spirit of fighting against foreign aggression for the independence and freedom of our people. Patriotic actions and heroic sacrifices of Yen Bai soldiers live forever in the hearts of our people.
Appreciating the historical significance of the uprising and the fighting spirit of Nguyen Thai Hoc and scholars, the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) granted the certificate of recognition the tomb of Nguyen Thai Hoc and soldiers sacrificed during the Yen Bai uprising a national historical monument in Decision No. 177 / QD-VHTT dated March 5, 1990.
Expressing the gratitude to the ancestors with practical actions, in recent years, Yen Bai city has tried to emulate the construction of the homeland, increasingly rich and beautiful; especially in the process of integration, promoting the spirit of solidarity, making efforts to overcome all difficulties and challenges to achieve quite comprehensive and impressive results in all fields; the targets according to the annual plan have basically met and exceeded the plan, so far completed and exceeded 19/23 targets according to the goals of the Resolution of the XIX Congress of the City Party Committee.
The 90th anniversary of the Yen Bai Uprising is an opportunity for cadres, party members and people of all ethnic groups in Yen Bai province in general and Yen Bai city in particular to deepen the historical value and indomitable patriotism of Nguyen Thai Hoc and soldiers sacrified in the uprising; Arouse the pride, revolutionary tradition of the heroic homeland of Yen Bai; Promote the patriotism of each citizen of Yen Bai city to work together, unanimously with the Party and authorities to overcome difficulties and challenges to mobilize all resources to successfully complete all the tasks set out, determined to build Yen Bai city increasingly rich and civilized ...
