The leaders of the province, leaders of Yen Binh district and representatives of the mineral processing and exploitation joint stock company Vu Gia Yen Bai and the construction contractor performed the groundbreaking ceremony to start the project.

Attending the Groundbreaking Ceremony were Mr. Do Duc Duy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, members of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments, branches and unions of the province; Standing Yen Binh District Party Committee; People's Committees of districts: Yen Binh, Van Chan and Luc Yen; Representatives of Vu Gia Yen Bai Mineral Processing Joint Stock Company.

The project of Vu Gia white limestone production and processing factory is implemented by Vu Gia Mineral Mining and Processing Joint Stock Company, with the investment scale of building 2 White limestone manufacturing and processing factories on an area of ​​nearly 26 hectares (in Thinh Hung commune, Yen Binh district and Bao Hung commune, Tran Yen district) to supply paving stone products, powdered stone for the domestic market and export to the foreign market such as: India, China, Italy and some European countries. The project has a total investment of over VND 2,240 billion, with a total area of ​​25.5 hectares, of which 10.5 hectares of factories are installed with new technology to meet product quality requirements, in the direction of less fuel consumption, using electrical energy and friendly with the environment.

It is expected that phase 1 of the plant will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021, phase 2 will be completed in 2024, when it comes into operation, it will bring revenue of nearly VND 2,000 billion per year; contribute VND 80 billion to the state budget and create jobs for about 500 local workers.

Speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony, Mr. Do Duc Duy, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The implementation and completion of Vu Gia white limestone production and processing factory is expected to bring great benefits to investors and contribute to actively improve the value of industrial production, export value of goods of the province, create more jobs and income for local workers, increase revenue for the state budget, contribute to promoting socio-economic development of  Yen Binh, Tran Yen district in particular and Yen Bai province in general; At the same time, it continues to affirm the consistent policy of Yen Bai province in efforts to reform administrative procedures, improve the business investment environment, attract investment, develop economic sectors, especially in private economic sector.

In order for the project to be completed and put into operation, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed investors to concentrate resources to implement the project to ensure the quality and progress as committed; comply with the provisions of the law on planning, land, investment, construction, environmental protection and relevant law provisions.

For consulting units, contractors strictly comply with construction standards and regulations; ensure quality, work safety, labor safety and environmental protection; not let the construction process affect the lives, production and activities of people in the vicinity of the Project.

Mr. Do Duc Duy asked departments, branches of the province, People's Committees of Yen Binh and Tran Yen districts to continue to pay attention and create all favorable conditions to speed up the construction progress of the project; regularly monitor, inspect and promptly support Investors to solve problems arising in the implementation process.

He hoped and believed that, with the awareness, responsibility and efforts of investors, along with the companionship and support of the Party committees, authorities and people of Yen Bai province, the project will soon be completed, put into operation and bring into full play, bringing expected benefits to investors, and at the same time contributing to promoting socio-economic development of Yen Binh and Tran Yen districts in particularly and Yen Bai province in general.
