Unlike every year, festival discovering the National Special Landscape Mu Cang Chai terraced field focus on main activities. The festival begins with paragliding festival “Flying above the golden season” from September 19. The programme is held in Lim Thai village, with paragliding activities done by pilots. Visitors also regist to experience flying in Khau Pha Peak.

The Half Marathon: “discovering Mu Cang Chai” takes place on September 20. The journey starts at Ba Nha bridge, La Pan Tan commune and ends at the district center. The athletes will cross mountainous terrain, passing the ommunes of La Pan Tan, Che Cu Nha, Di Xu Phinh, Kim Noi with a distance of 25 km. The tournament had 100 athletes, including 70 athletes from clubs who had participated in marathon at home and abroad, and 30 athletes from communes.

Local market will take place from now to the end of October in Mu Cang Chai Market and Khau Pha peak. The market will introduce agricultural products, utural products and local cusines. There are also many traditional games such as: con throwing, pao throwing, pounding, tug of war, pushing sticks,... and entertainment shows are also held. The contest to pound the cake also takes place from September 19 to the end of October at the fair.

Besides, visitors also see pattern drawing contest on canvas with beeswax is held at 8 o'clock every Saturday at the district center stage with local candidates.
