At the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Truc - Acting Chairman of Yen Bai City People's Committee called on the Party committees and authorities from the city to the grassroots level to continue enthusiastically participating in tree planting, afforestation; to attach importance to developing green and sustainable urban space and landscape, strictly manage the conversion of forest land and land use in the inner city to reserve land for trees, parks and flower gardens; encourage people to develop "indoor gardens, garden in houses" towards building "city in forests and forests in the city".

He also suggested that immediately after the Launching Ceremony of the city, the communes and wards organized the movement of afforestation and urban greenery planting, striving for 2021 to complete the planting target of 10,000 urban green trees and 20 hectares of concentrated forest in accordance with the city's green development orientation, serving as a basis for completing the goal of planting 60,000 urban greenery in the 2021-2025 period, contributing to building the city of green - friendly with the environment.
