YBP - On June 13, the Department of Industry and Trade of Yen Bai province held a meeting with the delegation of the Korea Association of Technology and Enterprises Valuation to exchange cooperation on investment, learn about businesses and the industry in Yen Bai.
At the meeting, leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade said: Through many years of development, Yen Bai has formed areas of agricultural and forestry raw materials that are convenient for the production and processing of high-tech products such as: Timber plantation area with an area of nearly 200,000 hectares; cinnamon area with an area of 80,000 ha; tea buds area with an area of over 7,000 ha... Regarding minerals, a number of minerals have good reserves and are capable of industrial-scale exploitation and processing: CaCO3 white stone; Rare soil; lead, zinc, graphite, quartz ores... In addition, Yen Bai has a hydroelectric power source of over 800MW which has been effectively exploited and belongs to an area with good average solar radiation, which has potential to develop solar power, wind power...
The industry of Yen Bai province has increasingly made positive contributions to the economic development of the province, including the manufacturing and processing industry; production of agricultural and forestry products; energy production. Currently, Yen Bai province has issued policies to attract domestic and foreign investors to invest in technical infrastructure business in industrial zones and clusters in the area.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Kee - Heon Cho - Doctor of Economics/Chemical Engineer, Technology & Business Valuation Specialist, General Secretary of Korea Association of Technology and Enterprise Valuation, the head of the mission expressed his gratitude to Yen Bai province for creating favorable conditions for the delegation to work in the province. Mr. Kee - Heon Cho said that Yen Bai has a lot of potential to develop products that are strengths of the province, especially in agricultural and forestry products.
Mr. Kee - Heon Cho discussed directly with representatives of a number of departments and branches of Yen Bai province about the situation and policies to attract investment in the area, and discussed with Yen Bai enterprises about cooperation opportunities with Korean companies; propose solutions to improve the capacity of Yen Bai industrial enterprises; consider the plan of technical support for Yen Bai enterprises, cooperate with the training program according to the invitation letter of Korea...
The leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade hoped that through this meeting, the delegation would grasp more detailed and specific information about Yen Bai from which to introduce, connect, and invite Korean investors to come and learn and cooperate with enterprises in Yen Bai province.
