HISTORICAL RELICS AND BEAUTY SPOTS OF THAC BA LAKE

Thac Ba relics and beauty spots of Thac Ba lake (including Thac Ba lake and Thac Ba Motherly Temple) the lake only has an area of about 23,400ha, water surface area of 19,050ha with over 1.300 large and small islands, with a system interesting mysterious caves (Thuy Tien cave – Provincial Party Committee Cave; Xuan Long cave…).

Thac Ba Lake is not only known as a place to keep the unique traditional cultural values of the white-panted Dao people, Cao Lan… living along the lake, this place is also a land hidden in its historical values of the Chay rives cultural area.

Being a place with great potentials and great value in economic development when there is Thac Ba hydropower plant – the leading bird of Vietnam’s hydropower industry built during the fierciest years of the war against the US.

Thac Ba Lake is overall planned for development to become a national tourist area with the orientation to become one of the driving forces of tourism development in the country with products of resort tourism, lake ecology, sports, entertainmentm recreation and community tourism. Striving to 2030, Thac Bagt Lake tourist area meets the criteria and becomes a national tourist area.

NGOI TU COMMUNITY TOURISM

Ngoi Tu is a village next to Thac Ba lake of Vu Linh commune, Yen Bai district, where the white – panted Dao ethnic people live. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this place still retains the original living habits with traditional stilt houses, early morning kitchen smoke floating on green hillsides, winding on red soil roads. With its own hospitalble and kind-hearted characteristics of native people, Ngoi Tu is always attractive to touristsm, an ideal stopover in the tour and experience on Thac Lake.

RUBY ECO TOURISM SITE

Ruby eco tourism site was built along Thac Ba lake in Yen Binh district with fresh, airy and spacious space with many separate areas such as outdoor garden, cold room, beach area…

COMPLEX OF HAC Y PAGODA – DAI CAI TEMPLE

The complex of Hac Y Pagoda and tower – Dai Cai Temple in Tan Linh commune Luc Yen district, about 80km from Yen Bai city, includes Ben Lan communal house, Hac Y terraccotta pagoda and tower, Dai Cai Temple anf the Bau dynasty citadel surrounding around the cavalry training ground. This complex is located at the foot of black – clothed King Mountain, the right is Chay River, the front is Dai Cai stream. The gods worshiped here are those who have reclaimed land, opened markets, established villages and roads. Dai Cai Temple dates back to the date Le Dynastym built by the people of Lam Truong canton to worship Mrs. Vu Ngoc Anh, the daughter of courtier of the Le dynasty who was murdered by the Mac dynasty. She was a celebrity who was responsible for building ramparts and establishing markets. In addition, the temple worships two brothers, Vu Van Mat and Vu Van Uyen, who had great merits in fighting the Mac dynasty. Dai Cai Tenple festival is held every year on yhe 15^th and 16^th of January lunar month. This is a very famous festival, attracting thousands of tourists and ethnic minorities in the region.

KHAI TRUNG GREEN PLAIN

About 100 kilometers from Yen Bai city, located at an altitude ò 100m above sea water level surrounded by rocky mountain covered with beautiful cave system deeply hidden inside the mountain such as: Diem cave, Doi Cave, Tac En cave… This is inhabited mainly by the Dao, Tau, Kinh people… Coming to Khai Trung is interesting in every season, btu the most beautiful season is summer then the entire plain is covered with green trees and autumn when the whole valley is dyed brilliantly yellow. This place has been invested and built by Dai An cooperative with 2 main locations: a flower valley with more than 40 different types of flowers ans caves, with a shimmering and colourful scence in harmony with the natural scenery, peace in the middle of unspoiled mature, overlapping mountains have created a peotic and beautiful green plain.

GEMSTONE MARKET

Located in the center of Yen The township, Luc Yen gem market is considered one of the two largest gem “capitals” in Vietnam. The market is open all week but only for a few hours in the morning and is most crowded on Sundays. Luc Yen gem market not only serves the needs od customers all over the country but also becomes a destination not to be missed by tourists when coming to the “pearl land” of Luc Yen.
