Following the success through 3 times of organizing the festival, in 2022, Van Yen district organized the 4th Van Yen Cinnamon Festival to introduce and promote the image of Van Yen cinnamon to domestic and foreign friends; to attract enterprises to invest in deep processing of cinnamon products; promote the development of the value chain of Van Yen cinnamon products. This is also an opportunity to promote the tourism potential and strengths of Van Yen district, especially the development of eco-tourism, community and agricultural tourism.

Van Yen is currently the province with the largest cinnamon area in the country, with over 52,000 hectares and over 50 cinnamon products of all kinds. Quality and brand of  Van Yen cinnamon are increasingly reaching out, and at present in many domestic and international markets. Van Yen cinnamon has been protected as a geographical indication in the country and in Thailand, and has been granted a certificate of trademark image. Cinnamon tree not only helps Van Yen people eliminate hunger and get rich, but also an economic and cultural symbol of the Red Dao community and many other ethnic groups in Van Yen.

At the opening ceremony, the leaders of Van Yen district received the decision and certificate of the National Office of Intellectual Property - Ministry of Science and Technology on trademark registration "Products processed from cinnamon of  Van Yen district are protected as a certified image mark". Through this, it has contributed to affirming that Van Yen cinnamon brand is more and more prestigious in the market, bringing Van Yen cinnamon brand to reach far.

At the opening ceremony a special art program was taken place with the theme "Van Yen Cinnamon - Brand reaching far", with the participation of over 200 professional and amateur actors.
