At the meeting, the leader of the Department of Planning and Investment informed about the situation of production and business activities and the implementation of policies to support businesses and cooperatives in the province. Accordingly, in August 2023, the whole province had 230 newly established enterprises with a total registered capital of nearly VND 2,400 billion, bringing the total number of existing enterprises in the province to 3,133 enterprises, total registered capital was nearly VND 40,000 billion. In 8 months, businesses paid taxes to the state budget estimated at nearly VND 903 billion, accounting for about 55% of the total revenue balance in the area...

At the meeting, businesses and cooperatives hoped that in the coming time, the province would continue to remove difficulties in calculating resource tax on white marble; adjusting environmental protection fees to be consistent with other provinces in the region; doing a good job of managing and handling oversized and overloaded vehicles; proposing permission to increase iron ore mining capacity; proposing to resolve and guide a number of issues related to procedures for renting and borrowing land for production and business. Representatives of hydroelectric enterprises requested that the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development need to publicize the planning map of 3 types of forests for businesses to grasp in implementing projects...

The Chairman of the Provincial Business Association also suggested that the province should pay attention to removing difficulties in administrative procedures and production capital for businesses and cooperatives; he proposed to innovate the Entrepreneur Coffee Program in the near future to connect with more businesses, show short videos introducing the province's specialty products, as well as promote Yen Bai tourism in some programs.

The opinions of businesses and cooperatives were directly informed and answered clearly by leaders of departments, branches and localities, contributing to partly solving some difficulties and problems of businesses and cooperatives.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and appreciated the contributions of the province's businesses and cooperatives. He informed and clarified issues that businesses and cooperatives are interested in related to calculating white stone resource tax prices; accessing to land, environment, agricultural production development...

Mr Phuc suggested for contents under the province's authority, departments and branches need to get and promptly resolve difficulties for businesses as soon as possible with the open spirit and responsibility. Contents under the authority of the Central Government, ministries, branches, and Provincial People's Committee would have recommendations to promptly resolve them for businesses.

Mr. Ngo Hanh Phuc also suggested that, in addition to the general efforts of the government, businesses and cooperatives in the area need to proactively update new information and policies to effectively serve production and business. During difficult times, businesses and cooperatives must strive for stable production and business activities. The province commits to always accompany, support in solving difficulties for businesses.
