On the afternoon of October 9 (Italian time), Mr. Do Duc Duy and the delegation worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy. Receiving and working with the delegation were Ambassador Duong Hai Hung - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Italy and officials of the Embassy.

On behalf of Yen Bai provincial leaders, Mr. Do Duc Duy respectfully thanked the Embassy for taking the time to welcome, receive, and work with the delegation and support the province in connecting and working with the Veneto government and the Italian associations and businesses.

​Mr. Do Duc Duy briefed the Ambassador on the potentials, advantages, preferential policies and incentives for investment in the province. He also informed about some outstanding results in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense - security, building the Party and political system of the province from the beginning of the term until now. He hoped that the Embassy and Ambassador Duong Hai Hung continue to support and be a bridge connecting Italy and Vietnam in general, Yen Bai province and localities of  Italy in particular.

Mr. Do Duc Duy hoped Ambassador Duong Hai Hung would pay attention to support and help Yen Bai province soon establish local-level cooperation with the Veneto region; connect, introduce and mobilize Italian businesses and investors to implement cooperation programs and projects in Yen Bai province, contributing to strengthening and diversifying FDI sources investing in the province, especially in the field of deep processing of minerals and high-quality construction materials, including white stone; support some of the province's strong products exported to the Italian market such as: wood and products processed from wood (wooden chopsticks, wooden spoons, furniture...); cinnamon and products made from cinnamon (cinnamon essential oil, handicrafts...); plastic beads, packaging... ; supporting the promotion of images of nature, people, and unique cultural identity of Yen Bai province to attract Italian investors to learn and invest in tourism development projects as well as attract Italian tourists to Yen Bai.

Speaking at the working session, Ambassador Duong Hai Hung expressed his joy and excitement when Yen Bai delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy. He informed some key features of the results of the Embassy's mission implementation in Italy. He highly appreciated the potentials and strengths of the province as well as expressed his impression on the results in socio-economic development of Yen Bai province from the beginning of the term until now.

Sharing information about investment needs and issues that Italian businesses are concerned about in the process of investing abroad, Ambassador Duong Hai Hung said, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Italy would actively coordinate and connect so that Yen Bai province could soon sign a cooperation agreement with the Veneto region. The Embassy are ready to accompany and coordinate with Yen Bai province in the investment promotion process, inviting Italian associations and businesses to explore investment cooperation opportunities in Yen Bai to ensure efficiency and sustainability. The Ambassador was also particularly impressed by cinnamon and cinnamon products of Yen Bai province as well as the province's agricultural and forestry products. In the coming time, the Embassy will be a bridge to connect with businesses to bring these products to the Italian market. He also believed that this business trip of Yen Bai province in Italy will achieve good results, thereby contributing to promoting the economic and trade development cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Italy.
