Receiving and working with Yen Bai delegation were Mr. Dinh Toan Thang - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in France and Embassy officials and staff.

Before the official work, Mr. Do Duc Duy and Yen Bai province delegation offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh and visited Uncle Ho's photos displayed at the Embassy headquarters.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Do Duc Duy informed the main features of the province's natural conditions, potential, strengths, and priority areas; the basic results that the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee has achieved during more than half of the term implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

Mr. Do Duc Duy also informed about the operating situation of foreign enterprises (FDI); the implementation status of projects using official ODA support capital and preferential loans from donors are being implemented in Yen Bai province and the implementation status of projects using ODA capital funded by the French government; the implementation status of projects belonging to non-refundable aid capital that are not part of official development support of foreign agencies, organizations and individuals for Vietnam in Yen Bai province and projects of donors from France carry out activities in the area; the situation of import and export of goods of the province to France and the situation of cooperation between the two provinces of Yen Bai - Val de Marne as well as cooperation between Yen Bai city and Chevilly - Larue city...

Mr. Do Duc Duy respectfully thanked the attention and support of the Embassy and Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang personally for Yen Bai province delegation during the entire time the delegation worked in the France. With the support of the Embassy, the Delegation of Yen Bai province visited and worked in Val-de-Marne province and the two localities signed a Framework Agreement on Deploy cooperative activities 2023 - 2028. The Embassy also actively coordinated, exchanged and connected the delegation to work with Saint Ouen city to exchange cooperation possibilities between this city and Yen Bai city and achieved good success.

Mr. Do Duc Duy wished that in his position as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in France, Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang and the Embassy officials and staff would be a bridge connecting France and Vietnam in general, Yen Bai province and French localities in particular.

Mr. Do Duc Duy hoped that Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang would continue to pay attention and support Yen Bai province in promoting cooperative relations between Yen Bai province and the Val-de-Marne Provincial Council, between Yen Bai city and  Chevilly Larue city so that cooperative activities would be in-depth, practical and effective; at the same time, connecting Yen Bai city and Saint-Ouen city, in Seine-Saint-Denis province. The Ambassador and Embassy would be a bridge to connect, introduce, and mobilize French businesses and investors to implement cooperation programs and projects in the province, contributing to strengthening and diversifying FDI sources to invest in the province.

Mr. Do Duc Duy asked the Embassy to pay attention to connecting and introducing projects and capital sources to the province to improve capacity to prevent and combat natural disasters and adapt to climate change; supporting the province's strong products exported to the French market such as: wood and products made from wood (wooden chopsticks, wooden spoons, furniture...); cinnamon and products made from cinnamon (cinnamon essential oil, handicrafts...); plastic beads, packaging...

On behalf of Yen Bai provincial leaders, Mr. Do Duc Duy respectfully invited the Ambassador and Embassy officials and staff to spend time visiting Yen Bai in the near future.

Speaking at the working session, Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang expressed his joy to welcome, receive and coordinate to support the province's delegation during their working visit to France. Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang personally congratulated Mr. Do Duc Duy and the delegation of Yen Bai province for a very successful visit and work to France. The Ambassador also expressed his joy, excitement and congratulated the achievements that Yen Bai province has achieved since the beginning of the 19th term of Yen Bai Provincial Party Congress, including successes in cooperation results between Yen Bai province and Val-de-Marne Provincial Council.

Informing the delegation about the situation of foreign affairs between Vietnam and France, foreign affairs activities of the Vietnamese Embassy in France, the Ambassador affirmed that with his role and functions, the Vietnamese Embassy in France is always ready to coordinate and accompany Yen Bai province in introducing and connecting localities of the France in cooperation with Yen Bai province as well as acting as a bridge for Yen Bai province to organize promotional activities, exchange, promote investment, encourage French businesses and investors to conduct surveys, seek opportunities and invest in the province's strong and priority areas as well as connect to products. Yen Bai province's goods are developed in the French market in particular and the European market in general.
