YBP - On November 10th, Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Van Hung, signed Decision No.3413/QĐ-BVHTTDL on the announcement of the list of national intangible cultural heritage.
Accordingly, the art of using beeswax to create patterns on fabric by the Mông ethnic group in Mù Cang Chải, Trạm Tấu, and Văn Chấn districts of Yen Bai province has been included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage under the category of folk knowledge.
The inclusion of this art form in the national intangible cultural heritage list not only enriches the cultural identity of the Mông ethnic group in Mù Cang Chải, Trạm Tấu, and Văn Chấn districts, but also provides these localities with the motivation to create diverse handicraft products for promotion and introduction to tourists, contributing to the development of the tourism economy.
