On the morning of November 22, Ms. Cao Xuân Thu Vân, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and Cooperative Alliance of Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Hoa Binh, Son La, Ninh Binh, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen provinces had a meeting and courtesy visit with Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province.
Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province introduced the socio-economic development situation of Yen Bai province. The chairman said that in the past time, Yen Bai province has paid great attention to the development of businesses and cooperatives with many support policies promulgated and implemented such as: land support, capital loan support, land rental support, support for production groups and households, thereby promoting the development of the collective economic sector. Currently, the whole province has nearly 730 cooperatives, of which cooperatives in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fisheries account for nearly 60%. Effectively operating cooperatives have contributed to the state budget, created jobs, improved people's living standards and built new rural areas in the locality.
Appreciating the attention of local authorities to the development of cooperatives in Yen Bai province, Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van - Chairwoman of Vietnam Cooperative Alliance suggested that in the coming time, Yen Bai province should continue to take advantage of and effectively implement the policies of the Central and provincial governments in supporting the collective economic sector; promote the development of the cooperatives support Fund, pay attention to improving human resources quality for cooperatives as well as supplementing and improving the overall capacity of officials of the provincial Cooperative Alliance; focus on support on a number of leading cooperatives to give play to local advantages and facilitate wider linkage; develop cooperatives in an integrated manner; alongside agricultural cooperatives, more sectors and industries such as: digital transformation, logistics, education and youth intellect should be developed to change the landscape of co-ops and contribute to shifting the provincial economic structure.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Trần Huy Tuấn listened to the opinions of Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van and hoped that Vietnam Cooperative Alliance would continue paying attention and create even better conditions for Yen Bai province to develop cooperatives strongly in both quantity and quality, so that the collective economic sector of the province can reap more fruits in the coming time.
