On December 15th, Yen Bai Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the Department of Asian-African Markets under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnamese Trade Offices in countries such as India, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka, organized an online trade connection conference between Yen Bai province's businesses and foreign partners in 2023.
At the conference, representatives from Vietnamese Trade Offices discussed specifically market demands in countries such as Korea, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka. They also provided distribution channels that Yen Bai businesses can access; the necessary certifications required for entering these markets, as well as the requirements and terms to avoid unnecessary trade disputes. Additionally, they informed about the potential, opportunities, and ways to enter other countries' markets, along with specific conditions and standards for exporting goods, particularly agricultural and forestry products such as: cassava starch, tea, cinnamon, timber, and honey. The representatives from Vietnamese Trade Offices suggested that Yen Bai businesses should establish websites with specific and clear information to enable potential partners to learn and establish trust from the outset of the business relationship.
At the Conference, a number of businesses in Yen Bai province also had discussions with representatives from Vietnamese Trade Offices abroad about their advantages, business information, products to export, and ways to approach foreign markets to have direct export orders, contributing to increasing the value of the product, as well as the export value of the industry. Furthermore, the businesses had direct exchanges with partners from India, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka through online connection rooms to gain clearer information about product requirements and export demands, leading to potential contracts between the two sides.
