On the afternoon of March 4th, Mr. Do Duc Duy, a member of the Central Party Executive Committee and Yen Bai Provincial Party Secretary, Head of Yen Bai provincial National Assembly delegation, along with the delegation, had a meeting with Governor Kim Jin Tae of Gangwon Province, Korea.

Expressing joy upon the visit and work of Mr. Do Duc Duy and the delegation from Yen Bai Province to Gangwon Province, Governor Kim Jin Tae sincerely appreciated the warm sentiments extended by Provincial Party Secretary towards Gangwon. He also highly valued the increasingly good relationship between Vietnam and Korea.
Governor Kim Jin Tae introduced the potential and strengths of Gangwon Province to the delegation. Being the smallest province in Korea, Gangwon is characterized by its mountainous terrain, which accounts for over 80% of its land. The province, located along the eastern coast, boasts a diverse landscape and is renowned for its agricultural products, particularly potatoes and seafood.
Gangwon is known as one of the leading developed provinces in Korea with a diverse and dynamic economy. It possesses a unique cultural blend, combining the characteristics of different regions and various cultural backgrounds, ranging from agricultural culture to coastal culture.
During the working session, Mr. Do Duc Duy, Yen Bai Provincial Party Secretary expressed his sincere gratitude to Governor Kim Jin Tae for the warm reception extended to the delegation. He provided information about the province's economic and social situation, its potential, and strengths. He highlighted the abundant and diverse natural resources, the transportation infrastructure, industrial clusters, and urban infrastructure.
Mr. Do Duc Duy expressed his desire for the two localities to sign a cooperation agreement in the near future to enhance exchanges and seek collaboration opportunities between the authorities, associations, and businesses. The aim is to promote cooperation in various fields such as economy, investment, trade, tourism, education and training, high-tech agriculture, processing, and consumption of planted forests.
In particular, Mr. Do Duc Duy hoped that Gangwon will cooperate and exchange information and experiences with Yen Bai in technology and techniques for exploiting and processing white stone. He also wished to develop Yen Bai's carbon credit market and invest in tourism projects in the province.
On behalf of Yen Bai provincial leadership, Mr. Do Duc Duy respectfully invited Governor Kim Jin Tae and the Gangwon provincial authorities to visit and work in Yen Bai at an early date to expedite the cooperation process between the two provinces. This visit aims to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to work towards establishing a local cooperative relationship between Yen Bai Province and Gangwon Province in various fields. They also agreed to create opportunities for promoting cooperation, implementing collaborative initiatives, and facilitating business enterprises from both sides to explore investment opportunities.
Next, Mr. Do Duc Duy, Yen Bai Provincial Party Secretary, along with the delegation, had a meeting with Vice Governor of Gangwon Province, Kim Myung Sun, and the leaders of several agencies and units in Gangwon Province to discuss the situation of vocational training, employment solutions, and the migration of labor from Yen Bai to work in Korea. The focus was on vocational training and employment support, particularly in the context of labor restructuring for agricultural and rural workers.
