On the morning of March 7th, the working delegation from Yen Bai Province, led by Mr. Do Duc Duy, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, had a working session with the authorities of Seocheon County, Chungcheongnam Province, Korea.

Mr. Kim Kiwoong, Chairman of Seocheon County, and officials from Seocheon County received and had discussions with the delegation.
Mr. Kim Kiwoong expressed his delight in welcoming , Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee Do Duc Duy and the provincial working delegation to visit and work in Seocheon County.
Introducing the potentials and strengths of the locality, Chairman Kim Kiwoong stated that Seocheon is located in the center of the Hoang Hai coastal area of Korea, occupying the southernmost position in Chungcheongnam province. The County consists of 13 administrative units (2 communes and 11 wards) with a population of approximately 60,000 people. The Geum River, one of the four major rivers in Korea, and the zigzag coastline provides favorable conditions for the development of aquaculture and seafood processing. In particular, the western region of Seocheon County encompasses an area of up to 5,000 hectares along a 72-kilometer stretch of the Hoang Hai coastline, specializing in agriculture. Seocheon has identified and developed various concentrated production areas, such as ginger in Munsan Ward and Sicho Ward, and silkworm cocoon in Munsan Ward. Particularly, Hansanmosi fabric, a type of fabric produced in Seocheon, is well-known for its high economic value.
During the working session, Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee Do Duc Duy provided a brief overview of the province's potentials and strengths, including its abundant natural resources, particularly in the development of agriculture, forestry, and aquaculture.
Among localities, Yen Binh district has favorable conditions for aquaculture development, with the famous Thac Ba Lake area with over 1,300 small and large islands. This provides great potential for tourism development and the cultivation of specialty aquatic products.
Secretary Do Duc Duy expressed his desire for Seocheon District and Yen Binh District to move towards signing a cooperation agreement to promote collaborative relationships. The focus would be on developing fisheries and seafood production while providing support for seasonal labor recruitment from the local area to work in Seocheon County in accordance with the regulations of Vietnamese and international laws.
Mr. Do Duc Duy, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chairman of Seocheon County for the warm reception and extended an honorable invitation to the leadership of Seocheon County to visit and work in Yen Bai Province in order to expedite the cooperation process.
The Chairman of Seocheon County stated that both Korean regions in general and Seocheon County specifically have a significant demand for recruiting foreign workers. He also affirmed that Seocheon County, as well as himself, would undertake activities that are most beneficial for the laborers who come to work there.
Impressed by Yen Bai Province's efforts in attracting investment in recent times, the Chairman of Seocheon expressed that Yen Bai is a province with great potential, advantages, and a good opportunity for Seocheon businesses and Korean enterprises to explore and select investment opportunities in Yen Bai.
At the end of the working session, both sides reached a consensus on the early implementation of a cooperation agreement between Yen Binh district and Seocheon County, creating favorable conditions to promote labor exchange activities between the two sides.
