Overview of the working session

On July 27, 2022, Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee and EREX Joint Stock Company, Japan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in developing biomass materials and investing in projects using materials from the agriculture and forestry industry in Yen Bai province and continued to sign the second Memorandum of Understanding in 2023 in Japan. Currently, Erex Joint Stock Company has implemented two projects in Yen Bai province, including: Erex Sakura Yen Bai biomass fuel plant project and Yen Bai 1 biomass power plant project.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan was delighted with the initial results that Erex Joint Stock Company has achieved in implementing projects in Vietnam, including Yen Bai province, which help to strengthen and enhance the cooperative relationship between Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee and Erex Joint Stock Company, Japan.

Mr. Tran Huy Tuan pledged that Yen Bai province would create the best conditions for investors, support procedures as well as necessary conditions to implement the project on schedule; direct relevant agencies, units and localities to implement the project on schedule and with high efficiency. He hoped that investors will focus resources and human resources to put the project into operation soon.

At the meeting, Mr. Hitoshi Honna thanked the leaders of Yen Bai province for their attention and created conditions for granting the Decision approving the investment policy early. He committed that the company will focus resources to put the project into operation in early 2027 and research to be able to deploy more new projects in the province in the near future. Mr. Hitoshi Honna also expressed his hope that Yen Bai province will continue to create conditions and support in terms of administrative procedures, land, especially raw material sources to be able to soon deploy the project in the province.
