YBP - On June 17, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee and the provincial delegation visited and worked with the Embassy of Vietnam in Korea. Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Vu Ho - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Korea, officials from the Embassy, as well as the leadership and staff of the Vietnam - Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA).

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan informed about the potentials, strengths and some achievements in socio-economic development of the province in recent times; informed about the cooperation situation between Yen Bai province and some localities of Korea; and the activities that the delegation implemented during this working visit. This visit aims to concretize the contents of Mr. Do Duc Duy's visit, Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, to Korea in March 2024. The departments of Yen Bai province have signed Cooperation Agreements with Korean partners to implement cooperative activities in fields such as investment, trade, tourism, culture, especially in the fields of labor and employment.
Mr. Tran Huy Tuan hoped that the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea and Ambassador Vu Ho will continue supporting and promoting closer cooperation between Yen Bai province and Naju City of Korea based on the contents that the two localities have signed, as well as helping to connect, introduce and advocate for Korean enterprises and investors to implement cooperative programs and projects in Yen Bai province.
Speaking at the working session, Ambassador Vu Ho highly appreciated Yen Bai province's potential for socio-economic development and the Cooperation Agreements signed between the province's agencies, units and localities with Korean partners on this occasion. The Ambassador also shared with the provincial delegation about the labor demand in Korea, especially seasonal labor. The Ambassador assessed that Yen Bai province's Vocational College is highly suitable for the needs of Korean localities.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Korea committed to always accompanying and supporting Yen Bai province in the fields of socio-economic development, investment, trade, especially in the fields of labor and employment.
Also on June 17, witnessed by Ambassador Vu Ho, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Tran Hai Linh, Chairman of VKBIA Association, Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Office and Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association, the Catholic Kwandong University signed a Cooperation Agreement. The contents include that the parties will cooperate, trust and treat each other equally to promote educational cooperation projects, career guidance and job support such as: establishing an effective study abroad system; supporting experts in technology transfer, education, vocational training and employment; Vocational training and undergraduate and postgraduate training programs for high-quality human resources...
During the working program, on the sidelines of Cultural Festival of Jeollanamdo Province, Korea, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee met and exchanged greetings with Mr. Kim Yung Rok, Jeollanamdo Province Governor.
