On June 13th, the delegation of members of the Richmond City Council, British Columbia, Canada paid a courtesy to Mr. Ta Van Long on occation the delegation worked in Yen Bai province.
At the working session, Mr. Ta Van Long welcomed the Delegaton to visit and work in Yen Bai. He also introduced to the delegation about general characteristic of Yenbai economy and society; result of implementing the task of developing culture, and society in hamorny with economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
Mr. Ta Van Long wanted in the coming time Yen Bai and localities of Canada to continue to strengthen trade export and import products which Yen Bai exported to Canada such as: minerals and garment and export more products to Canada: agricultural goods (wood, cinamon, textile…).
Through the visit, members of the Richmond City Council will be a bridge to introduce and mobilize Canadian businesses and investors to implement cooperation programs and projects in the province. Along with that, they will support the promotion of the image of nature, people, and unique cultural identity of Yen Bai province to attract and introduce Canadian investors interested in learning about and investing in tourism development projects in the province, as well as attracting Canadian tourists to the province.
At the working session, Mr. Chak Au - Councillor, Deputy Mayor of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada thanked Yen Bai leaders for warmly welcome for the delegation. Mr Chak Au wanted that in the coming time, Yen Bai and British Columbia, Canada would have more opportunities in investment cooperation and economy development in order to enhance Yen Bai and Richmond and Vietnam – Canada.
On this occation, the delegation of members of the Richmond City Council would visit and worked with some enterprises producing, processing and trading minerals and cinnamon in the Southern Industrial Park and Van Yen district; visited Bao Lai white stone processing factory, Yen Binh district.
