Yen Bai strives to send 1,200 labors to work abroad in 2025.

Implementing the Province's Labor Export Project, in 2024 and the first months of 2025, localities in the province have made great efforts in labor exporting, therefore, the province's exporting labor results in 2024 reached the highest in the past 5 years.

In 2024, the whole province exported 901 labors, exceeding the plan of the 2024 project and the plan target assigned by the Provincial People's Committee. Localities with high implementation results include: Yen Bai city 167 workers (116%), Tran Yen 102 workers (120%), Yen Binh district 120 workers (130%).

As of March 17, 2025, the whole Yen Bai province sent 180 workers to work abroad (reaching 15.3% of the 2025 plan), focusing on markets such as: Korea, Japan, Taiwan..., in which the number of poor households and ethnic minorities accounted for 54%; 9/9 districts have sent workers to work abroad, specifically: Yen Bai city: 12 workers, Nghia Lo town 32 workers, Yen Binh district 24 workers, Tran Yen district 21 workers, Van Yen district 45 workers.

To complete the 2025 Plan target of sending 1,200 workers abroad and students to participate in the training cooperation program, sectors and localities in the province continue to review and identify labor export needs, focusing on young people, demobilized soldiers, workers from poor and near-poor households; strengthen the role of the provincial and district Steering Committees; the responsibility of the commune level; organize the implementation of the provincial and district plans; promote information; results and effectiveness achieved in labor export. Along with that, pay attention to organizing training conferences to deploy and guide the implementation of labor export policies for localities; strengthen inspection and supervision work; prevent manifestations of taking advantage of and profiteering from policies.
