In Nghĩa Lộ town, preparations for welcoming tourists are underway with great enthusiasm, reflecting a readiness and attentiveness from both accommodation facilities and local authorities.
Homestays in Nghia Lo attract a large number of tourists for visits and experiences
Nghia Lo town currently has 90 accommodation facilities, including 36 homestays that reflect the rich cultural identity of the Thai ethnic group, concentrated in Nghia An, Nghia Loi, Son A, Tan An ward, and Pu Trang. Thanks to early and professional preparations, many establishments have reported a significant increase in room bookings. In the first four months of 2025, the town welcomed over 165,000 visitors, including nearly 11,000 international tourists, with tourism revenue reaching nearly 150 billion VND.
Ms. Hoàng Thị Loan, the owner of Loan Khang Homestay in Nghia Lợi commune, stated: “We not only focus on accommodation but also emphasize cultural experience activities such as making cakes, weaving brocade, and xoe dance, allowing tourists to truly immerse themselves in the life and culture of the Thai people”.
In addition to upgrading facilities, many communes and wards in Nghia Lo town are also organizing cultural and artistic activities, as well as unique experiences such as village exploration on foot, bamboo rafting on streams, and participating in agricultural production with local residents. These activities are becoming highlights that attract tourists, especially international visitors.
Local authorities are also placing special emphasis on ensuring food safety, fire prevention, and security at accommodation facilities. Mr. Đinh Anh Tuan, Head of the Department of Culture, Science, and Information in Nghia Lo town, stated: “We have intensified inspections and monitoring of service price listings, ensured hygiene standards, and provided timely information to tourists to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday experience”.
