In the morning of September 17, Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the Swiss Government's delegation of experts assessing the damage caused by typoon 3 who came to work in Yen Bai province to assess the needs in the areas of clean water, sanitation, housing and advice on mitigating the risks of floods and landslides in the province.

Yen Bai has just experienced a historic flood with heavy destruction, with 54 people dead and missing; 25,263 houses damaged; 28 schools flooded, 37 schools collapsed...

In the morning of September 20, comrade Vu Thi Hien Hanh, Vice Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee, received the Swiss Government's Team of Experts assessing Typoon 3.

On September 17, the delegation from Hung Yen Province, led by Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited to provide support for disaster recovery in Yen Bai Province.

In the early hours of September 16, amid heavy rain, at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee, received emergency aid supplies from Samaritan’s Purse and the Swiss Government for localities affected by Storm No. 3 (YAGI) in 2024, through Vietnam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Mr. Thomas Gass, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation in Vietnam also welcomed the aid flight.

Recently, in Yamanashi Prefecture (Japan), a ceremony was held to sign a framework agreement for implementing cooperative activities between Yen Bai Province and the Yamanashi government.

On the afternoon of September 4, Yen Bai provincial delegation led by Mr. Ta Van Long, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, held a working session with Nippon Zoki Group.

On September 15, Yen Bai Province received aid supplies from the Embassy of Japan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), with a total value of over VND 3 billion.

Due to the impact of storm No. 3, many localities in Yen Bai Province have suffered significant damage to both lives and property. Yen Bai Province has implemented various measures to ensure social security and quickly stabilize the lives of residents affected by the natural disaster.
