Investment attraction and business development continue to be effective. Yen Bai province has worked with investors to introduce and negotiate new investment projects with many investment projects being signed such as the project of  IC12 industrial, commercial, service and urban complex of Hoa Sen Yen Bai JSC; Investment project to build new urban area in Tan Thinh commune, Dong Tam ward and Yen Ninh ward in Yen Bai city of Chan Thien My corporation; Construction materials factory in Minh Quan, Bao Hung commune in Tran Yen district of Hoa Sen Yen Bai construction material company. In the first 6 months of 2017, the province issued investment decisions for 23 projects, increasing 09 projects compared with the same period of 2016 with a total registered capital of over 9,400 billion VND; The province granted business registration certificates to 99 newly established enterprises. Of which there are 17 private enterprises, 62 limited liability companies and 20 joint stock companies. Curently, the province has 1,678 enterprises, 326 cooperatives, 16,676 business households.

Yen Bai continues to equitize forestry companies and rearrange the forest enterprises in the province as approved by the Prime Minister.

The task of the Yen Bai province set out in the last months of 2017 is to continue attracting investment and developing economic sectors with specific solutions to continue to accelerate reform of administrative procedures;  concentrate on removing difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of mechanisms, policies and laws on investment, business and enterprise development. Focus on improving business investment environment and improving provincial competitiveness index. Strongly develop the private economy, promptly encourage and support start-up enterprises;  Attach special importance to the development of cooperatives and cooperative groups, building new cooperatives, forming production chains from production, processing to consumption, export. Maintaining a dialogue forum with businesses every month to remove difficulties, create a favorable environment for production and business, develop enterprises of all economic sectors to create more products for society, contributing to the overall development of the province.
