Receiving and worked with the delegation, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen – Director of Yen Bai provincial Health Department; heads of agencies and centers of Yen Bai provincial Health Department.

On 13 July, seminar on experience sharing between Health Department of Yen Bai province and Vientiane provincial Health Department was organized to evaluate the cooperation between health departments of the two provinces recently and to agree the cooperative direction in upcoming time.

Having a speech at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen – Director of Yen Bai provincial Health Department showed his delightfulness when receiving the delegation in Yen Bai at the time of 55 year anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos (5 September 1962-5 September 2017) and 40 year anniversary of signing friendship and cooperative agreement between Vietnam - Laos (18 July 1977-18 July 2017). On the spirit of cooperation and sharing, both sides would share and exchange experience in this visit.

In the framework of the working visit, delegation of Vientiane Provincial Health Department paid a visit to Yen Bai Medical College, Department of food safety and hygiene, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Yen Bai General Hospital. There, both sides shared on development of human resources, training and improving the ability for medical officers. In the past few years, Yen Bai Medical College has trained medical students for Vientiane province (Laos). Hospitals belonged to Provincial Health Department has also provided a lot of practical supportive activities with good results of human resources training and technology transferring to doctor team in medical agencies in Vientiane province.

After that, the two departments continued to discuss, talk and share on infectious diseases work; management, healthcare services with health insurance, healthcare services with traditional medicine, obstetric healthcare, medicine supply and use, technology application in medical examination and treatment as well as in diseases control.

At the end of the visit, delegation of Vientiane Provincial Health Department attended Preliminary Conference on medical work in the first 6 months of 2017 in Yen Bai. Having a speech at the preliminary conference, Mr. Soukphathay Sorpaseuth - Director of Vientiane Provincial Health Department expressed his sincere thanks to Health Department of Yen Bai Province for warm reception. He also said that this visit contributed markably to special friendship as well as helped to promote the cooperation in medical work between Yen Bai – Vientiane provinces in particular and between Vietnam – Laos in general.
