Na Hau Nature Reserve is located in the territory of four communes: Dai Son, Mo Vang, Na Hau, Phong Du Thuong. The reserve has area of over 16,000 hectares and Na Hau commune has the terrain as a basin which is created from the narrow valley, surrounded by primeval forest. The forest in Na Hau Nature Reserve still retains a biodiversity ecosystem with hundreds of rare plant and animal species.

In the master plan for socio-economic development of Van Yen district up to 2020 and Van Yen district tourism development scheme in 2016-2020, Na Hau Nature Reserve has been planned as a tourist destination with great potential. In recent years, the district has made the initial policy of investing and creating the most favorable environment to promote ecotourism in association with community tourism in Na Hau commune.
However the traffic road to Na Hau ecotourism is very difficult, the resources of the district is limited, so the district determines investment gradually step by step every year; The district focuses on attracting businesses to invest; Direct the branches and localities to strictly protect the quality of primary forests, preserve precious and rare fauna and flora species and forest ecosystems; Build a tourist community in Ban Tat village with two origin waterfalls to exploit the unique food and special traditional culture of the Mong people to attract tourists.
Along with mobilizing the people to open the road to create convenience for tourists to ride motorbikes to waterfalls, caves, Na Hau Commune authorities has promoted mobilize people to protect forest, preserve national cultural identity.
Along with authorities, Mong people in Na Hau have actively participated in local tourism activities, building community tourism, gradually creating tourism products for tourists to raise income.
With its natural potentials and unique ethnic culture, it is believed that, in the near future, with the attention of all levels and sectors, Na Hau will be an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
