The opening ceremony was attended by leaders of the province and thousands of people and other travelers.

The Crystal Cloud Exhibition is an open-air crystal garden which is constructed of steel-bamboo stakes at Mam Xoi Hill. Above the stake, soft steel mesh is made into clouds and 59,000 crystal beads hang over bamboo columns create a romantic scene which allow visitors to admire the beauty of the crystal cloud due to light and natural scenery at different times. From the surrounding hills, visitors can admire the splendid beauty of the crystal cloud garden with many different colors such as rainbow colored seven. Silk Crystal Exhibition lasts for 15 days.

Tourist Ha Thi Thuy Anh from Son La province said: “This is the first time I have admired architectural unique this event. It is an extremely useful trip because, tourists coming here will enjoy the exotic beauty of the Crystal Garden and explore the wonders of Mu Cang Chai terraced fields.

On the same day, at Khau Pha Pass, Mu Cang Chai district also opened the paragliding festival 2018, attended by nearly 200 pilots and visitors. This is also a sport activity for adventurous travelers who lik exploring.

Crystal Cloud and Paragliding Festival contributes to raise the awareness of conservation and promotion of the historical value of Mu Cang Chai people, in association with tourism development. At the same time, this event helps to promote the introduction of the homeland, people, potentiality, strengths and cultural identity of Mu Cang Chai ethnic groups to domestic and foreign tourists. The exhibition has left a good impression for domestic and international visitors.
