Overview of thw talk between Yen Bai anf Vientiane.

The 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Friendship Association of Yen Bai - Vientiane (2008 - 2018) is a landmark to remember and congratulate the strong relationship, friendship towards the forever future durable between two provinces as well as two countries Vietnam - Laos

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Friendship Association of Yen Bai - Vientiane (2008 - 2018), at the invitation of Mr. Vidongsayngan - Secretary of Vientiane Province of Lao People's Democratic Republic, the delegation of Yen Bai province, led by Do Duc Duy - Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee visited and worked in Vientiane.

During the talks, the leaders of Vientiane province informed about the socio-economic development in 2017 and evaluated the cooperation programs between the two provinces in 2017 and proposed cooperation in the year 2018 with the content is signed.

Thank you for welcoming of leaders of Vientiane province for the Yen Bai delegation, Mr. Do Duc Duy expressed his pleasure to visit. He also praised the province's achievements in 2017, as well as the goal of growing Vientiane.

Do Duc Duy emphasized the friendship between the Vietnamese and Lao brothers and the cooperation between Yen Bai province and Vientiane province, which was established in April 2008.

Over the past 10 years, the relationship of cooperation has been growing ive. There have been many collaborative activities between the two localities in such fields as education and training, health care, agriculture, infrastructure investment support, exchange and sharing of experiences in many fields.  

The results are remarkable, showing the special interest of the leaders of the two provinces and the efforts of the specialized agencies to contribute to the overall development, fostering the special relationship Vietnam – Laos and continuing to promote and bring cooperation activities between the two provinces more and more depth, practical and effective.

Do Duc Duy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee desires that, in the coming years, the two provinces will continue to strengthen meetings and contacts between senior leaders; create favorable conditions for the expansion of cooperation and exchanges between departments, branches and continue to interest and strengthen the cooperation activities.

Two provinces need to develop tourism, build tours, routes, organize cultural and sport exchanges to enhance solidarity and introduce cultural identities of the two provinces.

At the talks, the leaders of the two provinces assessed that this is an important event in promoting cooperation between Yen Bai and Vientiane in the past 10 years. This event marks a milestone  in relationship between Yen Bai – Xaynhabuly.

The two sides agreed on the direction and signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2018 and a plan for 2019.

Accordingly, the two provinces continue to maintain and promote the exchange of high-level delegations, train Vientiane students with high requirements on the quality of training; send delegates to work, support Vientiane province to make clips "Vientiane Potential and Investment opportunities" to introduce and promote investment in Vientiane.

In the field of health, Yen Bai will organize visits and free medical treatment for people in some disadvantaged villages of Vientiane.

Yen Bai province continues to hold meetings, encourage, visit and give gifts to Lao students in Vientiane province studying in Yen Bai province on the occasion of Vietnamese traditional Tet and Bunpimay hoiliday. Yen Bai will invite Laos’ delegation to visit Yen Bai province and sign the cooperation agreement of 2019.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee, Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Chairman gave Vientiane 20 computers for Vientiane Province to donate to a high school province.
