Attending the meeting were: Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Do Duc Duy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Standing members of People's Council, People's Committee; leaders of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, departments, agencies, economic groups and more than 200 enterprises in the province.

In 2018, there were 255 newly established enterprises, with a total registered capital of VND 2,975 billion, bringing the total number of enterprises across the province to 1,941 enterprises, with a total registered capital of about VND 25,000 billion; there were 332 cooperatives in operation, attracting over 26 thousand employees. The total amount of tax paid by enterprises and cooperatives was VND 1,110 billion to the state budget. Enterprises and cooperatives created jobs for about 35,400 local workers with an average income of about VND 4.7 million /person/month.

In 2018, there were 35 investment projects of enterprises, cooperatives, investors granted investment decisions and certificates with a total registered investment capital of over VND 916 billion and USD 1 million, raising the total number of projects being implemented in the province to 462 projects with total registered capital of over VND 60,600 billion and USD 434 million. The business community actively participated, contributed to poverty reduction and social security in the area with the amount of up to tens of billion VND.

In 2019, Yen Bai province strives to increase the total product volume in the province to over 7%, the state budget revenue reaches 3,250 billion VND, establishing over 265 businesses, 60 cooperatives, 2,200 cooperative groups.

At the meeting, representatives of corporations, investors, businesses expressed their excitement because this conference is an opportunity for enterprises to listen directly to the development orientation of the province in the next time. Investors and businesses want Yen Bai province to continue to implement more synchronously policies to attract investment; policies to support small and medium enterprises; support enterprises to join cooperatives to participate in production of value chains; have a master plan to develop tourism, create clean premises, handle waste issues, promote administrative reform and consider businesses as partners and customers when investing in Yen Bai.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Do Duc Duy - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee answered and clarified the problems of investors, enterprises and cooperatives. With the motto "the success of the business is the success of the province", Yen Bai province instructs all levels and sectors to follow and accompany with the business, care and be ready to create the most favorable conditions for the development of enterprises, attaching importance to development and equality among economic sectors, building sustainable development of enterprises. Mr. Do Duc Duy, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, said that every week, he will take the time to listen to businesses' opinions and recommendations, promptly remove obstacles and difficulties for businesses.

At the conference, Mr. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Provincial People's Council recognized and warmly praised the results and contributions of the business community, entrepreneurs and cooperatives to the development of the Socio-economy of the province in recent years.

She desired and required investors and businesses to grasp the general trend, global playground, improve management skills, build image, business brand, business culture, business philosophy; strengthen links, share and consensus in action to build a common house of Yen Bai businesses and entrepreneurs; well implement the contents committed to the province to exploit the potentials of Yen Bai as well as develop investors' opportunities when investing in Yen Bai.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra proposed the executive committee at all levels, to change more in awareness and thinking; understand and sharing with businesses; be really devoted, dedicated, friendly, wholeheartedly for the development of the business to be more simple, transparent and quicker in all administrative procedures related to investors; continue to improve policies and mechanisms, create a healthy environment for all economic sectors, take care of business and cooperative development; arousing the start-up movement of the whole society so that every cadre, party member, civil servant and officer, every Yen Bai citizen is a propagandist connecting the movement of starting a business, developing businesses, attracting investment, building a friendly, sincere, open image of Yen Bai, a safe and best destination for investors.

On this occasion, Yen Bai Province awarded the investment policy decision to 5 investors and announced 11 memorandums between the Department of Planning and Investment of Yen Bai province with enterprises with a total investment of over VND 29 trillion; awarded certificates of merit from the provincial People's Committee to 10 collectives, enterprises and cooperatives with outstanding achievements in production and business activities in 2018.
