Boat racing was reappeared in the art programme

Yen Binh district is famous for precious pomelo in Dai Minh commune which was planted 300 years ago. In this area, there are many over one hundred year pomelo trees and some two hundreds year trees. This fruit is called as “pomelo for king”.  Due to the characteristics of the climate and soil here, Dai Minh Grapefruit gives delicious and sweet fruit quality.

Dai Minh pomelo tree is planted everywhere in Yen Binh commune with total area of nearly 400 ha, productivity of abour 8 thousand per tea which brings about VND 85 to 90 billion.

On November 16, 2016, the National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) granted the exclusive protection trademark "Dai Minh Pomelo" to Yen Binh district. Dai Minh Pomelo is one of 5 OCOP product. This program of economic development in rural areas towards internal development and added value of 3 star class of Yen Bai province in 2019.

At the opening ceremony on Saturday, there was an art show featuring local specialities and landscapes with the participation of nearly 200 artists, professional actors and public art actors. Yen Binh District People’s Committee Chairman, Nguyen Van Trong, said: “This is an opportunity to promote local cultural and tourism values to visitors at home and abroad. We expect to boost tourism development and preservation of historical and cultural relics in Yen Binh district.”

Art program of Dai Minh grapefruit Festival and exploring the national beauty of Thac Ba lake in 2019 with the theme "Essence from the roots". The program has the participation of famous singers and 150 artists, actors. The performances at the art program show the beauty of Dai Minh grapefruit areas and Thac Ba lake national beauty spot.

Especially, this year's festival was organized by Yen Binh district in association with the announcement of the Prime Minister's Decision on the overall planning for development of Thac Ba national tourist resort to 2025, vision to 2030 and the receiving a certificate of registration of a trademark of Thac Ba lake, granted by the National Office of Intellectual Property.

Dai Minh Pomelo Festival and Thac Ba Lake explorative excursion is held every two years in order to honour and introduce the beauty of nature, people and unique traditional culture of ethnic minorities, agricultural products of Yen Binh to tourists in and outside the country. As well as the event also create conditions for enterprises inside and outside the country exchanging experiences on planting and selling grape fruits; promoting tourism development links, promoting potentials and strengths, attracting investment, building unique and unique tourist products, creating new development steps for tourism in Yen Binh district.
