According to the evaluation of the Department of Industry and Trade, industrial production activities in February and the first 2 months of 2020 continued to maintain the growth rate over the same period last year (up 7.23%). A number of products that have achieved good results, contributing to the growth include: cement, commercial electricity, plywood, lead or zinc ores, etc. Commercial trade in February and the first 2 months of the year was stable, ensuring good supply-demand balance; the market control was strengthened and there was no big change in prices. Total retail sales of goods and services increased by 9.19% over the same period last year. Export turnover in the first 2 months of 2020 was estimated at 22.18 million USD, up 20.54% over the same period.

Currently, in the province there are about 30 enterprises with export activities to China and they have been affected by Covid-19, but the level of influence is not large, some businesses have had to reduce goods production plans  exported to China.

In an atmosphere of intimacy and openness, representatives of businesses expressed their thanks to the province, the Department of Industry and Trade for holding a conference to meet businesses to promptly grasp the situation as well as share with businesses in the production and business activities before the influence of COVID-2019. They also frankly raised a number of difficulties proposed to remove. Enterprises want the province to have solutions to support interest rates on bank loans to buy raw materials and maintain production activities; adopt supportive policies for agricultural and forestry products exported to China. If the epidemic lasts a long time, it is necessary to have a script to help enterprises overcome difficulties, in the immediate future there must be solutions on the supply of goods to ensure production; timely information of standard requirements for goods to other countries for businesses to timely capture and research new markets; create conditions for enterprises in the work of inspection and examination; participate in trade promotion conferences, create an open and transparent environment for businesses ....

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ta Van Long - Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the initiative in production and business activities of enterprises in the first months of the year, as well as the prevention of Covid-19.

He suggested the relevant departments and agencies to receive the opinions from enterprises at the conference, on that basis, advising the province on solutions to support businesses before the damage caused by Covid-19; assigned Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate with related industries to consolidate enterprises purchasing agricultural products to China to report to the provincial People's Committee; agreed on the assigned targets in the first months of the year to adjust accordingly; Banks take the initiative in borrowing capital sources and giving interest rate supports to meet the loan needs of enterprises.

He emphasized that localities and businesses must take the initiative in preventing and fighting against Covid-19; promoting trade promotion; actively seeking new markets ... He proposed businesses with problems and difficulties to submit to the Department of Industry and Trade to summarize and report to the Provincial People's Committee. The localities promptly remove difficulties and create the best conditions for enterprises to operate in the locality; strive to achieve the targets beyond the plan, increasing compared to 2019.
