Yen Bai met businesses and investors in 2020

YBP - On March 1, Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with businesses and investors in 2020. Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the provincial People's Council attended and spoke at the meeting.

Attending the meeting, there were also members in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of departments, agencies, districts, towns and cities in the province and 160 enterprises and investors representing more than 2,000 enterprises, cooperatives in the province.

In recent years, Yen Bai province has made efforts to improve the investment environment, creating a fair business environment for all types of businesses, creating conditions to encourage businesses to grow in both in quantity and quality. By the end of 2019, the whole province had 2,147 enterprises (an increase of 206 enterprises compared to 2018), including 1,288 limited liability companies, 469 joint stock companies, 352 private enterprises, 25 FDI enterprises, 10 enterprises with 100% state capital managed by local authorities, 3 enterprises with 100% state capital under central management.

In 2019, the total amount of taxes paid by the enterprises to the state budget reached 1,172 billion VND, accounting for 54.68% of the total balanced revenue in the province, an increase of 31 billion VND compared to 2018. Stable operation of enterprises has created jobs for over 38 thousand workers with an average income of 5.5 million VND/person/month.

With many open policies, in recent years, Yen Bai province has attracted many domestic and foreign investors to learn and invest in the area. In 2019, there were 55 new investment projects granted investment policy decisions, investment registration certificates with a total registered capital of VND 17,223 billion, bringing the total number of investment projects across the province to 466 projects with a total registered capital of over 88 trillion dong.

At the meeting, businesses and entrepreneurs shared their experience in business production and implementation of projects in the province, and frankly expressed their difficulties and expectations for the province in order to create favorable conditions and remove difficulties such as: continue to improve the legal framework; strongly reform administrative procedures; have policies to encourage businesses to invest in agriculture and rural areas, support enterprises to train human resources, trade promotion; soon organize a seminar on the project of solar power generation on Thac Ba lake and the project of producing solar panels in the southern industrial park, removing difficulties for cooperatives in solving funding for the project of development of associated production along the value chain; support businesses affected by the Covid-19 epidemic ...

At the meeting, Yen Bai province awarded the Decision on investment guidelines for 15 projects in the fields and rewarded 19 collectives and 17 individuals with outstanding outstanding achievements, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province and take good implementation of social security in 2019.
