YBP - Within the framework of the Vietnam-France strategic partnership, the friendship and cooperation relationship between the two provinces of Yen Bai - Val-de-Marne was officially established in 1996, over 24 years, it has grown increasingly in-depth, practical and effective. Over the past years, the two provinces have implemented many cooperative activities that have brought good results in the fields of health and community health care; culture, education and heritage conservation; providing clean water and sanitation, sewage treatment ... Especially, in 2017, 2018, Yen Bai province suffered heavy losses due to natural disasters, Yen Bai province received the division valuable encouragement and financial support from Val-de-Marne Provincial Council and the people of Val-de-Marne Province.

Through the media and research, it is known that acute respiratory infections caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus are outbreaking in France, causing heavy losses in many areas of life and economy, society, seriously affecting the lives of the French people in general and Val-de-Marne province in particular. Due to the friendship and cooperation between Yen Bai province and Val-de-Marne province, Yen Bai province bought 50,000 medical masks (from provincial budget) to support the people of Val-de-Marne to cope with the disease.
On May 14, 2020, through the French Embassy in Hanoi, Val-de-Marne province received medical masks supported by Yen Bai province at the Vietnamese Embassy in France. On behalf of Val-de-Marne province, Mr. Christian Favier, Chairman of Val-de-Marne Provincial Council thanked Yen Bai province for this sentiment and emphasized: “We are very touched, this reflects the nice relationship uniting us. Humanity is facing difficult times, it is heartwarming to see solidarity coming from friends.”
The number of medical masks is the heart of the government and people of Yen Bai province, showing the sharing and solidarity with the government and people of Val-de-Marne province in the prevention of Covid-19.
