Since 2011, Yen Bai tourism sector has received over 400,000 visitors/year, the average revenue is over 150 billion. Developing tourism has contributed to preserve, conserve and promote historical and cultural values and to preserve the natural ecological environment.

In the period from 2016 - 2020, forward by 2025, Yen Bái will continue to develop 4 key tourist regions including Thac Ba lake and Chay river’s banks, Yen Bai city; Mien Tay and Tran Yen - Van Yen.

The total capital of investment for developing tourism in this period is expected to reach 11,839 billion. In which the state budget is 912.8 billion dong; funds from businesses and socialization is over 10.919 billion dong.
