The project "Integrated development of dynamic cities - Yen Bai city sub-project, Yen Bai province" has a total investment of 63.27 million USD, of which world bank loans are 39.46 million USD, project is invested by Yen Bai Construction Investment Project Management Board. Implementation period is from 2019 to June 2025.

The scale of the project includes 2 components: Component 1 - Solution for structure, renovation and construction of urban technical infrastructure system; Component 2 - Nonstructural solutions - technical assistance and investment execution.

The project aims to increase access to improved urban technical infrastructure services and strengthen capacity for urban planning and management in Yen Bai city. Specifically, minimizing flooding for Yen Bai city by embankments, dredging streams and constructing and improving regulating lakes; improving city traffic and strengthening connectivity by building 3 roads with total length of about 10km; construction of resettlement areas with a total area of ​​about 3.1 ha to support project affected people; support sustainable urban development on the basis of improving the quality of strategic development planning, urban management capacity and public transport development strategies.

At the meeting, the two sides reviewed and evaluated the overall progress of the project, disbursed the project and reviewed the agreed tasks according to the plan in 2020. At the same time, review the implementation plan for projects for the last months of 2020 and year 2021; review spending plan for 2020 and medium-term investment plan and capital allocation for the period 2021 - 2025; review technical design, protection tools and compliance with bidding documents for procurement and financial management, and agreeing on action plans in the coming time.
