Leaders cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Co Phuc Bridge, Tran Yen district.

The Co Phuc Bridge project, invested by the project management board of traffic works in Yen Bai province, started on December 22, 2019 with a total investment of VND 330 billion. The bridge is permanently designed with reinforced concrete and pre-stressed reinforced concrete including 6 spans with the length of 400m, the width of 12m; The bridge leading two ends has a length of 1,400m. The work has the starting point at the intersection of provincial road 163 (Yen Bai - Khe Sang road) at the route Km 14 + 800; the end point is at the intersection with provincial road 166 (Au Lau - Dong An road) at Km 8+ 700 in Y Can commune, Tran Yen district.

 After one year of construction, Co Phuc bridge project has been completed to ensure the quality, progress and finished requirements 8 months before the plan.

Completion of Co Phuc bridge contributes to creating a convenient transportation system for people to trade and travel, opening up great opportunities, creating a breakthrough for communes in extremely difficult regions on the right bank of the Red River of Tran Yen and the district center; gradually improving the transport system of Tran Yen district in particular and Yen Bai province in general; creating favorable conditions for people's travel and communication, creating a premise for the development of Tran Yen district to the right bank of the Red River and a driving force to attract investment and build new urban areas, commercial, health, education, tourism service centers and industrial parks in communes in Tran Yen district and the vicinity on the right bank of the Red River, contribute to the development of new rural areas, creating a foundation for Co Phuc town to become a driving force and economic development of Tran Yen district and soon turn the town into a grade IV city in the period of 2021-2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: The inauguration of the Co Phuc Bridge has special significance, practicality, concretize the determination to successfully implement the goals and tasks set out by the Resolution of the 19th Yen Bai Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

The completion of the Co Phuc bridge not only satisfies the long-standing wishes of thousands of people in the district, but also ensures the synchronous connection of the transport infrastructure of Tran Yen district to the communes on the right bank of the Red River, as a basis for continuing  to continue investing in traffic infrastructure connected to the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan suggested that Tran Yen district should seize this opportunity for socio-economic development; In particular, it is necessary to develop a detailed implementation plan, identify specific goals to build Co Phuc town really as the administrative - political, economic, cultural center of the district. In the immediate future, the People's Committee of Tran Yen district needs to study the land funds on both sides of the Co Phuc bridge on the basis of the general planning of Co Phuc town, which has approved the immediate implementation of the subdivision planning, detailing the construction of the two land banks on the bridge side and the road, as a basis for land management, attracting investment and urban development to soon form model, civilized and modern urban areas on both sides of the Red River, making real contributions to now aims to turn Co Phuc town into a grade IV city by 2025.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested investors and contractors continue to allocate construction resources to complete the remaining items of the project; organize the pre-acceptance test, handover and put the works into operation and use; carry out the maintenance to ensure technical, aesthetic and absolute safety in the process of exploiting, using as well as maximizing investment efficiency of the project. At the same time, continue to promote the spirit of "Traffic goes ahead paving the way", creating a new motivation to successfully implement the goals and tasks that the Resolution of the 19th Yen Bai Provincial Party's Congress. towards the development of "green, harmony, identity and happiness".
