Yen Bai leaders awarded Decision on investment policy to investors

By the end of 2020, Yen Bai has over 2,400 businesses, of which over 90% are operating, creating jobs for nearly 40,000 workers, with an average income of 5.4 million VND/person/month. In 2020, enterprises paid more than 1,250 billion VND to the State budget, accounting for 62% of the total balanced revenue of the whole province, an increase of 79 billion VND compared to 2019.

In 2020, the province had 71 projects newly granted investment policy decisions, investment registration certificates with a total registered capital of nearly 4,600 billion VND and 2.08 million USD, raising the total number of projects being implemented by businesses in Yen Bai province to 522 projects with a total registered investment capital of over 112,450 billion VND and 381 million USD.

In addition to focusing on investment, production and business development, associations and businesses have actively participated in social security and poverty reduction activities in the locality with total funding nearly 45 billion VND, the implementation of the housing support scheme for households of people with meritorious services to the revolution and poor households with special housing difficulties in the province by 2020 with a total support budget of 6.34 billion VND.

At the meeting, businesses and investors hoped, Yen Bai province would continue to have mechanisms and policies to support, create an open investment environment for businesses to do business stably and equally in the locality.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: To comprehensively complete the set objectives, tasks and solutions in 2021, with the motto that the government always accompanies businesses and people, the Provincial People's Committee pledges to continue to direct branches and localities to  be ready to listen to the opinions of businesses, entrepreneurs to create an open investment and business environment, at the same time creating all conditions for businesses to develop stably and sustainably.

Mr. Tuan suggested state management agencies and localities always listen, share, accompany businesses, focus on synchronous implementation of solutions and directions of the province to solve problems, difficulties substantially  in investment, production and business activities of enterprises; to drastically and effectively implement the administrative reform, resolutely strictly deal with harassing organizations, individuals, officials, public servants and public employees, causing difficulties for people and enterprises.

Enterprises, cooperatives and investors should focus on promoting production and business according to the plan set out from the first months and the first quarter of 2021, associated with strictly implementing preventive measures and the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic to prevent an epidemic of infections in enterprises from affecting production and business. Strictly abide by the provisions of the law, well fulfill the obligations of enterprises and business people to the State, to employees and responsibility to the community; timely inform competent authorities about difficulties and problems in production and business activities and implementation of investment projects in the area.

The Provincial Business Associations, Young Entrepreneurs Association, and Women's Entrepreneurs Association continue to perform well as a bridge connecting the business with the party committees and authorities at all levels, creating conditions for the government to accompany the business.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee awarded investment policy decisions for 11 projects in the fields in the area with a total capital of over 800 billion VND.
