On April 28th, the delegation of the Embassy of Ireland led by Mr. Elisa Cavacece The Deputy Head of the Irish Embassy in Vietnam, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc - Permanent Vice Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee.
At the reception, Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc expressed his pleasure to welcome Mrs. Elisa Cavacece and the delegation to come and work in Yen Bai province.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the effectiveness of the Programme "Bilateral educational exchange on agriculture adapting to climmate sustainable environmental landscape" which has been sponsored by the Irish Government. The project has directly brought possitive impacts on economic, social and environmental and impact for participants and the residential community. As a result, crop productivity and income are improved as well as environmental pollution is reduced. People have improved their knowledge and experience when working groups in building rural communities to adapt to climate change ...
Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc also wished that in the coming time, the Embassy of Ireland would continue to support Yen Bai province in introducing Yen Bai's potential and strengths to Irish businesses and investors as well as to invite enterprises to come and invest in Yen Bai province. Mr. Phuoc also wanted Government of Ireland to support Yen Bai province develop organic and sustainable agricultural economic models; invest on livelihoods, nutrition, capacity building for ethnic minorities, clean water, sanitation and education, especially projects related to poverty reduction support for ethnic minorities in Yen Bai province ... Along with that, the province will select qualified staff to receive scholarship of Ireland Government.
Thanks Yen Bai leaders for warm welcome, the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam promised to contribute to the relationship between Ireland's businesses and organizations and Yen Bai province. First of all, the Embassy will promote the implementation of socio-economic development projects in some localities; scholarship for Vietnamese students, including students from Yen Bai province to study at educational institutions of Ireland ...
Before the working session, the delegation monitored the implemention of the project on agriculture adapting to climate change and environmental sustainability funded by the Embassy of Ireland in Van Chan district.
This occation, Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc presented the delegation the picture book about land and people of Yen Bai.
