In the past years, thanks to clearly identifying advantages and potentials, investing in infrastructure, improving the business environment, especially the spirit of learning attitude, always accompanying businesses, Yen Bai city has gained great achievements in attracting investment, contributing to promoting local economic growth.

In order to achieve the above results, according to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Truc- Acting Chairman of the City People's Committee, the city has recently made important changes in thinking, new ways of promoting and inviting domestic and foreign investors to invest in the city. The city has provided adequate and timely local investment incentive mechanisms and policies for each field to attract investment; strengthened administrative procedure reform, applied information technology to shorten and simplify the time to settle administrative procedures for businesses and investors....which create a favorable environment, do well on the spot investment promotion so that investors can feel secure in production and business in the city.

In the past year, in the city, there were 33 enterprises that were granted investment policy decisions to implement 16 projects with a total capital of nearly VND 4, 300 billion, of which, projects were mainly in the industrial sector with with 28 trade-service projects and 5 projects of other fields...

These results are achieved thanks to the dynamism and pioneering of leaders at all levels and sectors who regularly contact, meet, listen to and promptly solve difficulties and problems of businesses and investors. The city also focuses on planning traffic infrastructure, industrial parks, urban areas, information - telecommunications, electricity, water synchronously and step by step modern.

Up to now, Yen Bai City has 833 enterprises, 30 representative offices, 80 non-business units, over 50 cooperatives with diverse activities in many fields of production, business and services. In the period of 2021-2025, the city planned and built 17 projects to attract investment in various fields. In the past year, the city introduced and approved investment locations for 4 enterprises and Au Lau industrial cluster… Accordingly, Yen Bai city is speeding up the construction progress of works and projects in the plan of public investment in 2021; improving the quality and efficiency of industrial zones and clusters to create clean ground to attract investment; carrying out the main tasks and solutions to improve the business investment environment and enhance national competitiveness in 2021; striving to maintain the first position in provincial competitiveness in 2020 and be in the group with good governance quality; implementing the motto "Accompanying businesses, acting for businesses"; supporting businesses and investors to access the market, update information on socio-economic development policies, investment incentive policies; creating favorable conditions for investment procedures and mechanisms, policies.
