Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra and leaders of VNPT Group, Yen Bai province and Yen Bai city press the button to launch the Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) of Yen Bai city on October 9.

In the first phase in 2021, the city aims to build the infrastructure system for the centre, constructing the control office, preparing equipment, technology and human resources for the centre’s operation. In this phase, the city will put into use a number of data on socio-economy, land, planning, health, education, administrative reform, population, and security.

In the second phase from 2022-2023, database will be optimised and provided for the centre, thus all smart city data of Yen Bai will be integrated and synchronized.

In the third phase from 2024-2025, the city will continue to integrate smart city operation applications together, including those on urban and traffic management, automatic alert system on environmental disasters, and artificial intelligence (AI) apps serving the settlement of administrative violations.

After two months of implementing the first phase, the building of the center was completed, meeting all technical standards and having all necessary equipments.

The center uses the core software system to operate, standardise and integrate basic data for service sub-systems, including those for monitoring socio-economic indicators; supervising and governing public administrative services; supervising and administering the medical sector; education management; accommodation supervision; monitoring and operating the receiving and handling of complaints from locals; and and gathering people's opinions via social networks.

Alongside, the centre also has sub-systems for the supervision and management of planning and land in the city, along with one for monitoring the movements and quarantine of COVID-19 patients; one for AI-integrated cameras for watching the traffic; and another on dministrative data on human resources, administrative reform indicators, and digital transformation index of Yen Bai city.
