Recently, the Heart Center, E Hanoi Hospital cooperated with the provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs organizing free screening and counseling for children with congenital heart disease in Co Phuc town, Tran Yen district for children from districts: Yen Binh, Tran Yen, Van Yen and Yen Bai city.

Doctors from Heart Centre, E Hospital examined and advised for 300 children under 18. Through examination, heart defects were found such as: ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect, ductus arteriosus, arrhythmias...
The programme is one of many activities taken by National Fun for Vietnamese Children which help to find out heart deases for children in Yen Bai province, especially for children in extremely difficult circumstances, children of poor households.
The programme helped to early find out children with heart deases so as to they can be cured and surgened timely. The program has contributed to helping more children's hearts be revived and healthy; create opportunities for children to live, learn and develop.
Previously, the program had organized medical examinations for more than 382 children in Luc Yen district.
Up to now, Yen Bai province has had 685 children under 16 years old receive free congenital heart screening. Through screening, there are 14 children with symptoms that need to be monitored and indicated for surgery.
