At the meeting, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan welcomed the delegation of Swiss Cooperation Development Agency to work in Yen Bai province. Mr. Tuan also introduced to the delegation about the potentials and chances for developing cinnamon trees of Yen Bai province and preferential policies of province for developing cinnamon for recent years.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee welcomed the Swiss International Cooperation Agency to organize the international consultation workshop: "Sustainable cinnamon development" in Yen Bai province. The Worshop helped to increase the value of cinnamon trees and products from cinnamon, increasing income for cinnamon growers, contributing to local socio-economic development.

Mr. Tuan affirmed that Yen Bai province is ready to cooperate with domestic and foreign organizations and businesses to bring cinnamon products to the world market, improve product quality and enrich people. At the same time, he expressed his wish in the coming time, the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency will continue to accompany Yen Bai province in conserving biodiversity, improving the value of local strong crops and cinnamon trees of Yen Bai province in particular.

On behalf of delegation, Mrs. Sibylle Bachmann - the First Secretary, Embassy of Switzerland, Deputy Head of the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency in Vietnam thanked leaders of Yen Bai province for warmly welcoming for the delegation. On the visit, delegation come to see Vinasamex Cinnamon Manufacture in Dao Thinh, Tran Yen and attended "Sustainable cinnamon development" workshop in Yen Bai city.
